Review: Last Days of Krypton

If you are like me you have always wondered what happened to the real place Superman came from. Sure the comics and the movies and books all do a good job at detailing his life now but when it comes to his birthplace there is not much said.
All that has changed now. With Last Days of Krypton the mystery is unveiled.
AS the title suggests it tells of the end of Krypton and how Kal-El (Clark Kent aka superman) escaped and made his way to Earth.
Any problem with a story such as this that back tracks throuh years of mythology, is that is is going to be difficult to stay on the plot line so it “makes sense” The author Kevin J Anderson does this beautifully. All possible reasons that have been given for Krypton demise over the years on in this gripping book and presented in such a way that it is entirely believable.
I did find the rise and fall of the evil General Zod to be long winded, but no so much that it hurt the rest of the book.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. And even if you are not familiar with the superman story, the author gives such detail that it is easy to follow.
