Adventures In Never-Never Land

Book reviews and other literary stuff

There is nothing more relaxing on a dark and rainy night than soaking in a hot bubble bath and a good book. The book that I was reading was Mexican Bowl Fishing and Other Tales of LIfe. A humorous book that left me laughing all the way through. A full review will be posted soon.

This past week I read the Glass Castle, the ARC for LibraryThing Double or Nothing. I enjoyed both.

After I finish Mexican  Bowl, I will read the Last Days of Krypation, another ARC about the days of Superman home planet and it’s destruction. I am not one to judge a book by it’s cover, but Last Days of Krypton has one of the flashiest covers I have seen. It is a hologram and I have spent minutes with it under the light watching the Superman Logo. It is strangely captivating.

I have added a page to my blog showing the books I have read so far in my quest to reach 200 books in a year.I  am behind but it is a long way to April 10 2009 so you never know.

I have also found lots of new book blogs to read on My Friend Amy’s book Blogger Appreciation Week contest. As a new book blogger it is fascinating to read the “A” listers in the book blogging niche. You can vote here.

  1. I absolutely agree with you about the bubble bath. Bubble baths are one of my favorite things. Ever. I’m also a fairly new book blogger and I’ve been enjoying the program My Friend Amy has been putting on too. I love having all those blogs at my fingertips to read.
